The WMA Wiki has unfortunately been under attack by various 'Spam Bots'. These are essentially computer programs run on someone's computer which edit Wiki sites, such as this one, and insert advertising links or otherwise cause trouble.
In an effort to restrict access for the bots, pages on the WMA Wiki have been restricted so that they can only be edited by registered users. Registration is a simple matter of typing in a username and password on the login page, and clicking 'create new account'. Your name, e-mail address, location, and other personal information is not required.
However, for those who are still reluctant to register, an anonymous user account has been set up. Simply visit the login page and enter the following information:
- Username: WMA-Anon
- Password: anon
If you choose to use the WMA-Anon account, be a pal: Don't mess with the preference settings. New users might have difficulty adapting to different settings, especially if multiple people are changing them back and forth. If you want to have custom settings, please make your own account.
Further, if you plan to make any major changes (as opposed to minor edits here and there), it's encouraged that you make your own account so that you can get full recognition for your hard work.
